I get an email or two a week from journals that solicit research from me. My area of expertise is the sociology of religion, with specialties in nonreligion and Mormonism. Anything outside of that is not my area of expertise. If a journal that does not focus on those topics is soliciting me, that is an inappropriate solicitation. I am keeping all of the emails as evidence and providing the dates so I can quickly find them should anyone have questions.
